From Pondicherry, Dr. Lavanya Badda completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry from Rajiv Gandhi Veterinary College, followed by a Master’s degree in Veterinary Surgery from Mannuthy, Kerala. During her postgraduate training, her research in ocular ultrasonography laid a strong academic foundation for her future in veterinary ophthalmology.

She joined The Eye Vet (TEV) in 2021 and successfully completed TEV’s rigorous three-year residency training program in veterinary ophthalmology. Her dedication to clinical excellence culminated in earning the Diplomate of the International Board of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DIBVO) certification on May 3, 2025—the highest international qualification in the specialty.
